She was an incredible actress that as Stephen King recently commented on social media, summed up what most fans also felt:

Sadly, Duvall passed away in her sleep this week after being in hospice care for issues with diabetes. She was 75.
Best known from her very believable performance in ‘The Shining’, I honestly thought she was going to have a heart attack with her tense scenes with Jack Nicholson. You could feel her fear. Director Stanley Kubrick shared his thoughts and condolences on social media:
