The Tin Man’s Oil Can Used In ‘The Wizard Of Oz’ To Be Sold At Auction!

Fans of ‘The Wizard Of Oz’ with deep pockets will be interested in this…the oil can used by the Tin Man in the original movie will be sold at auction later this month! TMZ reports that it could bring in as much as $200,000! So why is it being sold?! Doesn’t this famous movie prop deserve to be kept in a museum? Well, right now it is, but apparently the Academy of Motion Pictures Museum needs the space? I don’t have the funds but this is a very cool piece of ‘Wizard Oz’ history that I’d LOVE to have! The oil can in the photo above is actually in my house. A friend of mine gave it to me to add to my collection of antiques and oddities.
