Most communities in Central Indiana are still planning on holding trick-or-treating this Saturday October 31st. But the ‘trick’ will be keeping everyone safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. Health experts remind residents to only give out prepackaged factory sealed candy and nothing homemade. While most trick-or-treaters will have costumes with masks, those without are encouraged to wear a protective face mask, as are parents/chaperones. Kids are encouraged to wipe down their haul of candy once they get home. And if you are sick or experiencing flu symptoms, turn your porch light off and do not hand out any candy.
